11 Ways to Get Your Hotel Email Marketing Flagged as Spam

Albert BarraAugust 12, 2018 · 2 min read
Discover the email marketing mistakes that can turn your hotel into a spam sender and lead to blocked email communications and campaigns.

If you follow these recommendations, you will become a true SPAMMER, and your hotel—or all of its communications—will most likely be considered a source of spam. As a result, all email messages and email marketing campaigns will be blocked.
Therefore, it is best not to carry out any of the following actions:
1. Ignore unsubscribe requests. Pay no attention to them and disregard them.
2. Misuse your database. Share it with anyone who asks for it.
3. Send unsolicited newsletters to your mailing lists.
4. Collect email addresses from anywhere on the internet. If an email address appears on a website, I can send it advertising whenever I want.
5. Fill your recipients’ inboxes with information that has nothing to do with you.
6. Never carry out any database maintenance. Do not clean up incorrect addresses of any kind. It is a waste of time.
7. Do not worry about the security of your subscription form. I am invincible and my security is the best.
8. Work with unreliable ISP/ESP companies and entrust them with your data.
9. Use standard email software to send your newsletters and include all email addresses in the “To” or “CC” field.
10. Forget to include your physical address or a contact telephone number in your newsletters.
11. Data protection law is nonsense. Nobody pays attention to it.
