In hospitality, we work with people. Always with people. Guests, suppliers, employees, partners. All with their own stories, expectations, emotions, strengths and, of course, doubts. One of the most difficult—but also most revealing—things I have learned throughout my career is to identify what kind of trust is present in each relationship.

Not all trust is the same. Sometimes we trust because someone delivers. Other times, because they make us feel understood. The first is earned through the head. The second, through the heart. When the two align, true leadership happens. But when one is missing, something always breaks.
