Look within your team for the person who is a leader without holding that title, without having a position or a sign on their door saying so. That is the true leader: someone who is one naturally, who sees it as something normal, as part of who they are. Do not be jealous of that person. Simply use their abilities to convey to your team what you would not do as well as that person.
A leader is not a boss. A boss is someone I have to obey; a leader is someone I want to follow and listen to, someone who inspires me. The employee’s willingness is part of the concept of leadership. If I am willing to follow someone, it is a leader; if I am obliged to do so, it is a boss.
Look around you and find the leaders in your team—it is easy, you only have to follow your employees.
