THE IDEA

Revenue management and marketing must work together in hospitality. Guest engagement, one-to-one relationships and emotional connections can help hotels maximise sales and strengthen their value proposition.

Following a Coaching session I delivered a few days ago, I have been reflecting on the subject, and I never tire of repeating it. I am increasingly aware that Revenue Management must be more fully integrated into a hotel’s marketing strategy. I am convinced that failing to do so means only partially leveraging the opportunities offered by today’s environment. Customer interaction, the degree of empathy fostered by a one-to-one relationship, and the emotional connection that can turn a guest into an ambassador for our hotel are all factors that must be leveraged to minimise the cost of our marketing initiatives and maximise the selling price of our product
