And I am not referring merely to trusting that an algorithm recommends the right rate or assigns rooms correctly; I mean something far more fundamental: can guests, teams and hotel leaders trust the systems we design?
In an industry where the human experience is at the heart of everything, the adoption of AI cannot—and must not—move forward without a clear conversation about boundaries, safeguards and ethics. And if those of us who have spent time in this industry know one thing, it is that the cost of a broken promise goes beyond the bottom line: it affects reputation, loyalty and the very essence of our value proposition.
